SEIKO Instruments has announced the release of its DPU-D series of drop-in, low-voltage thermal printers.
The DPU-D series have been designed to streamline integration and cut mechanical design time for engineers developing medical device and test and measurement applications.
Seiko says the low-voltage DPU-D series are rated for a minimum 100 million pulses and 50km printed output, providing reliability and longevity.
The DPU-D series thermal printers are equipped with EZ-OP clamshell-style paper replacement and LED readouts for displaying operating status.
Seiko says the two inch print width DPU-D2 measures 3.15” wide by 2.7” deep and 3.34” high meaning it can easily be slotted into the front panel of a medical device.
The printers offer USB, Serial, and Parallel interface connectivity, and device drivers for Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Vista operating systems.
