ENWARE Australia has developed the Household Protection Pack to help families and businesses guard against swine flu.
The Household Protection Pack is available from supermarkets and in bulk through Enware. It has a shelf life of up to two year from the date of manufacture.
According to Enware Australia, the Household Protection Pack comes with ten disposable three-ply Zeomed protective masks that provide protection to the EN14683:3005 surgical standard of 99.9% Bacteria Filtration Efficiency (BFE).
The Pack also comes with complementary Zeomed hospital-grade hard surface disinfecting wipes, which kill germs including Methicilin Resistant Staphyloccocus Aureus (MRSA) and Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus (VRE).
Emergency hygiene and household protection advice is contained in the kit, including a 14-day food storage brochure and guidance on preparing for an emergency.
Enware Australia says the Household Protection Pack is additionally suitable for use in emergencies such as bushfires, cyclones, floods, storms, earthquakes and energy utility failures.
The World Health Organisation raised its swine flu alert to the highest level in June, declaring the first global influenza pandemic in 40 years.
