FDA keeps tabs on fraudulent H1N1 Influenza products

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) publishes a listing of fraudulent 2009 H1N1 Influenza products that have not been approved for diagnosis, prevention or treatment.

The website (www.fda.gov/h1n1fraud) lists the consumer considerations about the products and lists each fraudulent product.

This list is intended to alert consumers about websites that are or were illegally marketing unapproved, uncleared, or unauthorised products in relation to the 2009 H1N1 Flu Virus (sometimes referred to as the 'swine flu' virus).

Products listed are only those websites to which the FDA has issued a warning; ie. not every website that is marketing products relating to this virus.

Some of these products may be approved or cleared by FDA for other medical uses.

The information is current as of the date indicated and is revised continually.
